Do you have a passion for teaching and a thirst to experience life in South Korea?

South Korea is often described as a hidden gem by those travelling far East Asia. Whilst tourists have been frequenting Far East Asia for many years, South Korea is still relatively unfamiliar territory to many. Waheda Khan and Layla Ally, currently teaching in Wonju, South Korea:

"It’s been three weeks here so far and amazing! Everyone at the school are great. My kids are a handful, haha, but they are so loving and amazing.

We made loads of friends so far (yes in three weeks already!). There’s a big group of expats where we live so we are meeting up with them all the time.

The language barrier is a little difficult with the locals here (as our town is small and not many locals use English in daily communication) but we are learning ways to get around and get past that.

The people here are friendly and so helpful. We actually don’t miss South Africa at all but do miss our friends and family back home. But that’s about it!

South Korea is clean and safe. As two, young females, we can safely walk the streets at 2am just to get something to eat from the 24 hour convenient store and it is perfectly safe and fine.

We are absolutely loving it so far!"
